Can my 9 month old baby's ear be reshaped now or do we have to wait until he is older?

Q:

My son is 9 months old now.  Due to the birth process, his right ear is not normally shaped and needs to be corrected (reshaped).  Can the surgery be performed now at this age or do we need to wait?  What does the procedure entail?

A:

Reshaping of an infant's ear is usually done in the first few months of life. You can check with a company called Ear Buddies at this link for another alternative (http://www.earbuddies.co.uk ).
