What do I do avoid to my breasts from further sagging?

Q:

My breasts are beginning to sag. Are there vitamins meant for the breast? Does sleeping on my stomach contribute to sagging? What kind of exercise should I do?  What kind of bra is best for the breast that would allow easy circulation of blood in the armpit and the shoulders?

A:

Dear Ruth,

Unfortunately, there are no vitamins, exercises, or garments that can prevent breast sagging. The factors involved in this process include age, volume, pregnancy, and weight changes. The good news is that these days there are relatively safe and effective procedures to correct these changes. You will need to consult with a plastic surgeon, preferably an ASAPS member, who is well versed in these procedures.

Best,
