Can you get body jet liposculpture if you have an umbilical hernia?
Your umbilical hernia could be repaired at the time of your liposuction if you desire. Please understand there are various types, forms and severities of umbilical hernias. If a complicated repair is required, this might delay your liposuction component of the procedure. Set up a consultation with a member of ASAPS to determine what procedures are safe for you.

It is much safer to repair the hernia before the liposuction is performed. Hernias are defects in the abdominal wall, that includes umbilical hernias, regardless of how small it is.
The question is can you have liposuction of any type with an umbilical hernia, because the risk is that the liposuction cannula could penetrate into the abdomen through the hernia defect if it gets too close. Best to have the hernia repaired, which could be done at the same time (before the lipo), unless there is no fat around the umbi that would be part of the liposuction procedure. But it doesn't matter if it is body jet, laser, VASER, or anything else, because they all involve placement of an instrument into the fat layer.
