Should I have Breast Reduction now or wait until I lose an additional 20 pounds (my ideal weight)?

Q:

I'm 20 pounds from my ideal weight.  I'm 59, size 38 D and have started wearing a bandeau bra due to the pain caused in my shoulders from my excess breast weight.  I realize it would be ideal to have my surgery done at my ideal weight but will my breasts look crazy if I have the surgery done now and lose 20 pounds later?

A:

May I suggest you seek out an ASAPS Member in your area. If you are that close to your ideal weight it may be fine to proceed with a breast reduction but, an examination would be of assistance. Best,
