Possible to increase breast size with soft tissue fillers (e.g hyaluronic acid)?
There is a product in Europe, which is not currently available for use in the USA, called Macrolane. I assume it is more cost effective and has been used in a few cases but is not widely popular. Current products available in the USA are not FDA approved for this purpose and it would be considered an off-label indication. However, the economics are not feasible in the sense that the average cost of one cc runs anywhere from 300-500 USD. Given the average volume of a breast augmentation as 300 cc/breast (total 600 cc). At an average of $400/cc that would run $240,000 for an enlargement procedure that would last about a year.
Fillers for the breast are still in the experimental stages of development. Please be patient. Good things come to those who wait. Best,
