Are buttock injections safe?

Q:

All of my friends are getting buttock injections.  Are they safe.  Is silicone injected into each buttock cheek?

A:

Silicone injections have extremely poor long term consequences. Adverse event and unfavorable long term outcomes are common. They are not safe nor approved by any drug regulating agency for administration as an injection in humans.
