Am I a candidate for a lower body lift?

Q:

I am 16 months post gastric bypass, 165 lbs, 5'5" and my fat lies in my middle, abdomen and into my sides from my abdomen. My legs, arms and breasts are ok. Would I be a candidate for a lower body lift or do I need to lose more weight first?

A:

thank you for your question. my suggestion is to discuss this with your bariatric surgeon. if you weight has stabilized, you should be good for surgery. what procedure would be best for you would be discussed with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures regularly. good luck and great job losing the weight.
