Can someone please comment on "cankle" liposuction and what is the best type of lipo?

Q:

In searching the Internet there is much talk about a new liposuction treatment which combines laser which melts fat and water which removes the fat ....is this the best available and is it in Canada?

A:

Studies indicate that the most common Liposuction procedure performed by surgeons that do Liposuction on a continuous basis is SAL (Suction Assisted Liposuction). Laser, ultrasound, water irrigation, etc. devices are an assistance or adjuvant to the primary technique. These devices are often added depending upon the patients clinical presentation for the procedure. Some can n decrease bruising, expedite recovery, reduce pain, etc. but add additional costs for the procedure. Consider a consult with one of the many members of the ASAPS in your area for evaluation to determine which procedure would be best for your condition. Best,
