I despise my nose and want to know how old does a young person have to be before being approved for nose reshaping surgery?

Q:

I am unhappy with my nose and actually despise the way it looks.  I live in the UK.  I want to know how old does a young person have to be before being approved for nose reshaping surgery?

A:

This is a very common question. You want to wait until the nasal vault is mature. For young lady's this can be as early as 15 to 16 years of age. Young men tend to go through their growth spurt a bit latter so, often a recommendation of 17 to 18 years of age is made.

Consider a consult with one of the many members of the ASAPS for further information. They are experts in nasal surgery. Best,
