Face seborrheic keratosis

Q:

I have had this lesion removed by 3 dermatologists and biopsy results came back as seborreic keratosis. It keeps coming back getting worse each time. It scabs and itches and looks awful. Can a plastic surgeon fix this?

A:

Absolutely, a plastic surgeon can deal with a seboreic keratosis.

Consult your plastic surgeon

A:

Yes.  A plastic surgeon can fix this.  It may be recurring because part of it is deeper than usual.  It may, therefore, require a partial or full excision.

Absolutely, seborreic keratosis can easily be removed with red dye/ pen and laser ablation (532 Laser). Check out our article at: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1524-4725.2007.34098.x/abstract.

May I suggest you find a local member of the ASAPS who commonly works with lasers, show them the article and you will be on your way to getting rid of those nasty seborreic keratosis. Best,
