Is there anything I can do to have my left nipple as sensitive as the right one?

Q:

I have just had a breast reduction surgery and my right nipple is very sensitive and left one is not sensitive at all. Is there anything I can do to have my left nipple as sensitive as the right one? I am worried.

A:

Irene,

Complete loss of nipple sensation following breast reduction surgery is somewhat unusual. Please address your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Often with time nipple sensation will improve following such surgery. Best,
