I had liposuction on Wednesday and it is now Saturday and as of yet, I have not had a bowel movement. Should this be a cause for concern?

Contact your surgeon for medical advice.

A:

The GI system can slow down following general anesthesia and taking narcotics.  Fluids, stool softeners, laxatives, or enemas may be of benefit.  You should discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
