Q:

Should you use the original surgeon to do revision rhinoplasty or find one that specializes in revisions?

A:

Every surgeon is humbled by a result that one is not proud of.  If your doctor is Board Certified, qualified, responsible, and confident that he/she can deal with the revision, and if he/she is available and you have trust in him/her, then I would say to stay with the original surgeon.

A:

ORIGINAL SURGEON PERFORMING A REVISIONAL RHINOPLASTY– Rhinoplasty is the most complicated procedure we do in cosmetic surgery so the need for revision is not that uncommon. If your rhinoplasty surgeon has significant experience and expertise in rhinoplasty then I would consider going back to your surgeon and getting their opinion because a good Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will tell you whether he can or cannot do a secondary rhinoplasty. It is a complex operative procedure.
