Is there a payment plan for a tummy tuck?

Q:

I want a tummy tuck but don't have the money up front.  Do any plastic surgeons offer payment plans? I've had two children and my abdomen is severely stretched out with lots of stretch marks.  My OBGYN doctors has suggested I get a tummy tuck.  Can I get this surgery on a payment plan?

A:

Yes, many practices have financing and payment plans for cosmetic surgery. One of the more common ones utilized is called CreditCare ( http://www.carecredit.com/ ). You can apply on line, establish a credit limit, and then utilize the funds for your tummy tuck surgery at practitioners that take their credit plan.  We have no financial interest in this company.

Best,

Gary R. Culbertson, MD, FACS

A:

Dr. Culbertson is correct.  Quite a number of Plastic Surgery Offices work with CareCredit so you can finance your tummy tuck or other cosmetic procedure.  You can find out if you qualify on line. Once you have obtained financing, you can search the CareCredit web site to find a Plastic Surgeon near you who takes their financing.  Many take it for not only their fees but for the hospital or surgery center and anesthesia fees also.
