What can I do preoperativly to ensure a speedy recovery from abdominoplasty?

Q:

I am considering having a tummy tuck after weight loss. I am trying to plan time off from work (nursing). I exercise frequently-6-7 hours of cardio per week with 2-3 hours of toning/ weight training per week. Will an increased dedication to abs and core work help reduce recovery time?

A:

You can do preoperativtly lymphatic drainage and a protein rich diet. The type of exercise you are doing is great for the surgery, but it has nothing to do with the recovery time.
