Can I prep my skin for a chemical peel?

Q:

What is the best method to prep the skin for a phenol peel?

A:

I would recommend you prep your skin for a peel. I always recommend retin A and hydroquinone or another pigmentation control product before a peel for at least 4-6 weeks. I use the same regimen before an ablative laser treatment. I also recommend an antiviral and antibiotic around the treatment period.
