What is the "real" exercise downtime after a tip rhinoplasty?

Q:

I am an avid exerciser- weights, spin, yoga! I am considering a tip rhinoplasty, but taking 6 weeks off from the gym is not an option. I'm not planning on working out in the first 2 weeks-- what can I do and when during the remaining 4 weeks post?

A:

That is a question posed to your doctor, and depends on how much is done during the rhinoplasty.

However, my advise is if you can not put in the time for healing, then surgery is not for you

A:

Take it slow post operatively. Hopefully, you will only have this procedure performed once in your lifetime. Normally, heavy activity and exertion are OK 3 to 4 weeks following a rhinoplasty. Please consult your surgeon for specifics regarding exercise restrictions following your surgery.
