The removal of a buffalo humps entails what kind of recovery time and cost?

Q:

The removal of a buffalo humps entails what kind of recovery time and cost?

A:

The diagnosis of Buffalo Hump needs to be confirmed by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. The appropriate treatment plan should be discussed with your surgeon. Treatment is usually achieved by liposuction. Recovery is fairly quick with minimal discomfort.

A:

The removal of a buffalo hump would represent a body contouring procedure. It is important that you have an evaluation of the spine of your back to determine how effective such a procedure would be. Typically recovery times are quick- 2 to 3 weeks and cost range from $3,500 and up in our area. Consider a consult with a ASAPS Member in your area to address your concerns. Best,

A:

Buffalo humps are usually best treated by liposuction.  The recovery is relatively fast to return to work, but usually 2-3 weeks to exercise and 3 months for the final results to fully develop.  The cost is approximately $2500 in my area.
