Q:

What is the best procedure to remove acne scarring/pits for indian patients with light brown skin(skin 4 Type)? Which is the better option: laser therapy or microdermerbrasion? What procedure would you advise?

A:

Neither.  Straight surgical dermabrasion is recommended..

A:

It is very difficult to treat acne scars in dark skin.  With laser or chemical peels you will run the risk of hyper and hypo-pigmentation.  Dermabrasion has a high risk as well.

Consult your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon before doing anything.
