Sun Exposure, what now?

Q:

My aunt recently had some laser resurfacing (cold laser), and she was driving with the sun roof exposed. She did not think about it at the time, but realized after driving for 30 minutes, her skin was exposed. Her forehead and eyes are extremely swollen. I've found a lot of information and recommendations about protecting your skin after this treatment, but nothing about what steps to take after it happens. What should she do?

A:

You should always start with the practitioner that originally performed your laser service for advise, counsel and to answer your questions.  They usually know exactly what sort of treatment was provided and precautions that should be taken. Normally, 30 minutes of sun would only have minor effects following most laser procedures. Best,
