When should a Supprelin implant be removed?

Q:

My daughter had the implant 2 weeks ago and we want it removed. To minimize scarring, do we do it now or wait for skin to heal more? Our goal is to have the least amount of scarring, what is recommended? She is 10 1/2.

This is a question you should be addressing with your daughter Pediatrician as SUPPRELIN® LA (histrelin acetate) subcutaneous implant is an under-the-skin (subcutaneous) implant that contains the medicine histrelin, a gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). SUPPRELIN LA is used for treatment of children with central precocious puberty (CPP). Best,
