What now can be done after my surgeon went through the breast fold instead of the nipples (as I requested) for my breast aug.?

Q:

I wanted to minimize scarring while having a breast augmentation, so I chose for the doctor to go through my nipples for this procedure.  However, my surgeon went through the fold instead.  What now can I do?

A:

These are normally issues that are addressed BEFORE surgery. Ask for an explanation from your surgeon. They are responsible&

for your procedure and how it is performed.

Best,

Gary R Culbertson, MD, FACS

A:

Sasha,

There is little you can do to change your result after breast augmentation as you already have the scars beneath the breast.

You certainly need to discuss this with your surgeon.
