What's the technical term for hammer toe and can it be surgically corrected?

Q:

I have hammer toes. I'm looking to have surgery to enable myself to go barefoot. Is this possible?

A:

Yes, Hammer Toes are commonly fixed by various foot surgeons. Consider looking for one in your area.
