Can ultrasound treatments help soften scar tissue inside the face from fat grafting?

Q:

Could professional ultrasound treatments help soften or reduce scar tissue inside the face from fat grafting and would radio frequency help atrophy lumpy fat on top of the skin in the dermis?  I saw an article by a doctor who said external ultrasound treatments have helped reduce fibrous bursas from fat grafting which sounded promising.  Your advice would be much appreciated!

A:

Yes, repeated treatments of deep pressure massage, external ultrasound, etc. have been of some benefit in resolving small areas of excessive fat in the face following fat grafting. Critical areas like around the eyes often require surgical excision to remove the grated fat. For larger areas liposuction may be required. Consider a visit to one of the many members of the ASAPS. They are experts in fat grafting. Best,
