Q:
I want implants that were inserted one month ago removed - will a capsulectomy be needed?
I am 27 years old and my breast size was an A cup. I had 300 cc's, smooth, Silicone gel, high profile implants, under the muscle put in 5 weeks ago. I really want them removed. Will I need a capsulectomy? Will my breasts be the same size as before or even smaller? Thanks
A:
You will not need a capsulectomy unless you have an early capsule or hardening which you have not indicated that you have. Your breasts will likely be about the same size since it has only been 5 weeks.

Q:
What can be done to remove a large, ugly C-section scar after having 3 C-sections?
I've had three C-sections which have left me with a large stomach and a big C-section scar. What can be done to remove this ugly scar?
A:
If you are concerned about your large stomach and C section scar, then a tummy tuck may help you improve both areas. However you need to understand that you will have a longer scar with the tummy tuck procedure and this may heal better or it may not. A consultation with a plastic surgeon will give you more information on what you can expect will give you the best result.

Q:
How involved is eyelid surgery and how much recovery time is needed?
I have droopy eyelids, but also sagging jowls and loose neck skin. Does this require a complete face lift? What is the approximate cost and recovery time required for this?
A:
The best option is usually a full facelift/necklift with eyelid surgery performed all at the same time. The early recovery is 7-10 days on average but it will probably be about 3 weeks before you feel totally comfortable in a public situation without too many signs of having recent surgery.

Q:
Is there a procedure that can remove the scarring after a breast lift?
Is there a procedure that can remove the scarring after a breast lift? I am referring to the appearance of scars that remain after the surgery.
A:
Scars can often be improved or made better, but not always. However, they cannot be made to disappear. During your consultation with a plastic surgeon, your options will be discussed.

Q:
To achieve the best results in rhinoplasty surgery, do I need to choose a surgeon who is an ethnic expert in this field?
I have a long nose and a wide chin. I want to have rhinoplasty and surgery to improve my chin. I want to choose a good plastic surgeon so that I will have the best results. Do I need to choose a surgeon who is an ethnic expert that performs these surgeries?
A:
You need to choose a surgeon who has experience with nose and chin surgery. See at least three board certified plastic surgeons and look at the before and after photos to see if they have operated on similiar patients. It may be harder to find one that can operate on your chin. Do not be in a hurry to decide on a plastic surgeon, it can take time to find the right one!
Good luck!
