Dr. Matarasso is internationally recognized as an expert in plastic surgery and is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed and original scientific articles and 15 textbook chapters. He has edited two volumes of Clinics in Plastic Surgery on Non Operative Techniques for Facial Rejuvenation - and a 3 Volume Series on Liposuction and Body Contouring for Operative Techniques in Plastic Surgery. He also serves as Senior Scientific Editor of Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the largest scientific publication in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Matarasso is featured on a widely-distributed videotape on the uses of Botox, which is available to physicians for continuing medical education (CME) credit.

A prominent resource to both print and television and radio broadcast journalists, Dr. Matarasso has been quoted in numerous magazines and newspapers including: The New York Times, Wall Street Journal,Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, Ladies Home Journal, Self, InStyle, GQ, Newsweek,Time magazine and The Economist.
