Q:
What kind of surgeon do I go to for a Breast Lift after having a Breast Reduction 20 years ago?
I had a breast reduction done when I was 18. I am now 38 and I want a breast lift. What kind of surgeon should I go to?
A:
It is not uncommon to have more drooping later in life after a breast reduction, and you have found the right place to look for your surgeon, as he should be a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and one that does a lot of aesthetic surgery. This is exactly the credentials for an ASAPS member. Good luck!

Q:
Can waist/tummy/thigh/butt liposuction be done at the same time using Vaser Lipo?
Can Vaser Lipo be done in multiple areas (waist, tummy, thighs, buttocks) safely at the same time?
A:
Vaser Lipo is 3rd generation Ultrasonic Assisted Lipo (UAL) and has been around for about ten years. It is very good for getting more skin retraction, as there is a heat element under the skin that causes it to contract on the dermis side. I do that amount of areas all the time, but it is more about how your health is, how old you are and how much you are taking off at one time.
Generally you should not take over 5000 cc's at one time, but even then you should not have risk factors that could make this less safe. Good luck with your surgery. Make sure that you go to an ASAPS member that does Vaser a lot for best results.

Q:
I want another baby, Should I wait to have a breast reduction till after the 3rd one?
I am a mom of two boys and in 2 years would like to have another child. I am 5 foot even, 110 pounds with a a bra size of 38 DDD. I am in pain all the time, especially after holding my children. I desperately want a breast reduction now, but am not sure if I should wait till after my last baby? I am not breastfeeding because both nipples are inverted, too difficult to feed, in case that may be a factor.
A:
Having a breast reduction before getting pregnant again may not be your best aesthetic result, as most pregnancy's end up enlarging the breast and then after pregnancy the breast's get smaller. This would leave your skin more stretched out. You are the one who is living with the pain, which makes this hard to answer for you. But for the best cosmetic result, you would not like to have large swings in size after the breast reduction. Good luck.
Q:
Best thing to do for saggy breasts?
I'm almost 22 years old and I've noticed that my breasts sag badly. Since I first started puberty and started wearing bras, they still became sag-ish. I lost weight over the years, could this be a factor? What's the best solution to fix this problem?
A:
There are two things that women complain of when they say their breasts are sagging. One is that there is a scoop on the upper pole of the breast from loss of tissue. This probably happened when you lost weight. This usually is just putting in an implant to give you the volume that you lost back into your breast or a breast augmentation.
The other thing that women complain of is that their nipples point to the floor. This requires a lift to correct. You need to have a consultation and physical exam to evaluate if it is one or both of these things. Good luck.
Q:
REMOVAL OF LOOSE SILICONE FROM BREASTS ..REPLACE WITH IMPLANTS
CAN I GET LOOSE SILICONE REMOVED FROM MY BREASTS AND HAVE SILICONE IMPLANTS PUT IN AS A REPLACEMENT. I HAVEN'T REALLY ACCUMULATED ANY HARDNESS OR LUMPS BUT I WANT IT REMOVED BEFORE ANY HAZARDS OCCUR.
A:
This is a bit more complicated as you need to see what you find in surgery to know what is best to do. If there is only loose silicone, and the capsule (scar around the implant) has no silicone imbedded in it, then you should easily be able to remove the loose silicone, and replace your implant with or without opening the capsule (a capsulotomy). If on the other hand, you have some of the silicone that has caused some silicone granulomas or calcium deposits on the capsule, you may need to have the capsule removed as well (a capsulectomy). The sooner you get the loose silicone removed, the less chance you will have calcium deposits, or granulomas. Good luck.
