Dr. Hidalgo served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering from 1992 to 2000. There he developed several important innovations in plastic surgery technique that have been adopted as the standard of care around the world.

Dr. Hidalgo serves as an editorial consultant for specialty journals Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery.
