Q:
Can nose reshaping and eyelid surgery both be done during one procedure?
I was hit in my nose by accident by another player during sports activity while in high school. As the years have gone by, my nose has been turning and I cannot breath through it when sleeping. I need to fix the deviated septum and also reduce the size of my nose. I would like to have eyelid surgery at the same time. Can both surgeries be done by a reputable surgeon in one procedure? I would appreciate it if you could give an approximate cost of what this would be.
A:
Yes, you can certainly have a SeptoRhinoplasty and peri-occular surgery at the same time. These types of procedures are done daily around the world. Costs vary based upon the extent of the surgical procedure required to correct your issues/deformitiies. Consider a consult with a member of the ASAPS in your area. They are experts in Facial Plastic Surgery.

Q:
Is it possible for a patient to get disability benefits after arm lift surgery due to post bariatric surgery?
I've had arm lift surgery after post bariatric surgery. Is it possible to file a disability claim during my recovery period?
A:
It could be possible. Contact your short term disability insurance carrier to determine if you are eligible for this benefit. Federal programs like Medicare would not cover such a process/event.

Q:
I am one week post-op and I feel the implant in my left breast at the bottom but not the same on the right - is this a problem?
After one week post-op I feel the implant at the bottom of my left breast but I feel it more to the side in the right breast and the bottom is soft. Could it be that one implant has dropped and the other one hasn't yet? Or, is it possible that the right implant is slightly smaller and slightly lower than the left one.
A:
Please address your concerns with your breast surgeon. At one week post op it is a bit early to determine what is going on without an examination.

Q:
After surgery on the thighs, will scars stay in the area where skin tissue was taken up?
I want to know if I have surgery on my thighs and skin tissue has been taken from that area, will scars stay in the area forever or will I get my normal skin layer back in time?
A:
If you have surgery there are scars. Scars do not go away, they mature with time and everyone scars a bit differently. There are many things that can be done to reduce scarring at the time and after your surgery. Often with a thigh lift your surgeon will position the incision or scar in an area where you wear clothing like your underwear. Hope this is of assistance.

Q:
What now can be done after my surgeon went through the breast fold instead of the nipples (as I requested) for my breast aug.?
I wanted to minimize scarring while having a breast augmentation, so I chose for the doctor to go through my nipples for this procedure. However, my surgeon went through the fold instead. What now can I do?
A:
These are normally issues that are addressed BEFORE surgery. Ask for an explanation from your surgeon. They are responsible&
for your procedure and how it is performed.
