Professional Background

Dr. Davis is a graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his general surgery training at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD and was certified by the American Board of Surgery. His plastic surgery residency was at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA. He has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1986. Dr Davis served as assistant chief of Plastic Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center before entering private practice in Raleigh. He has led several overseas medical missions with Operation Smile and has been a leader in both local and national medical societies serving as President of the Raleigh Academy of Medicine and the North Carolina Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Davis holds appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Duke University Medical School and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has chaired several committees of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and has been recognized by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with the Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery.
