Professional Background

Dr. Abou-Sayed joined Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach in 2003. Since joining the practice, Dr. Abou-Sayed has won the hearts and minds of many patients and referring physicians, as well as the staff. He keeps up to date on new techniques and regularly pursues continuing education at plastic surgical conferences. During his long residency training, Dr. Abou-Sayed received surgical instruction from many recognized leaders in breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, and complex reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Abou-Sayed received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While pursuing his academic career, Dr. Abou-Sayed worked as a Research Assistant for both the University of California Department of Surgery and Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories in Berkeley, California. He then completed a five-year Residency in surgery at Harvard Medical School's prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, before returning to UCSF for his plastic surgery training. In his spare time, he plays several musical instruments and enjoys sports and the arts.
