Surgical Facility

The practice of James M. Stuzin, M. D. is located in Miami, Florida(FL). In designing our office, we have provided a comfortable and relaxed setting for plastic surgery procedures with state-of-the-art technology to ensure both maximum comfort, as well as patient safety.

Our procedures are performed in our own fully accredited surgical suite, with the most modern equipment available, staffed with experienced and highly skilled personnel. Our operating room facility has been certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc., as well as by the State of Florida.

All of the surgery performed in our office is done on an out-patient procedure, performed under local anesthesia with sedation. As part of our facility, we have a Board Certified anesthesiologist who has been working with Dr. Stuzin for over twelve years. Our experience with sedation anesthesia in terms of patient comfort is unparalleled in producing quality results while maximizing patient safety.

Our office is designed for patient confidentiality, as well as comfort. The first floor of our office suite is utilized for preoperative consultation with Dr. Stuzin as well as for your skin care and dermatologic needs.

The second floor of our office suite is the location of our surgical facility, containing our state-of-the-art operating room, three bed recovery unit, as well as where postoperative visits following surgery are conducted. The second floor of our office suite includes a totally private entrance, as well as a separate covered private parking to ensure patient confidentiality.

Postoperatively, many of our patients choose to recover for a few days following their surgery at the Ritz-Carleton Hotel in Coconut Grove, which is two blocks from our office. If you choose to stay at the Ritz-Carleton, you will be personally cared for by our nursing assistants who will assist you while you are at the hotel with all your personal needs. In terms of privacy, our patients are brought to the hotel through a secluded entrance and, while staying at the Ritz-Carleton, are brought daily to our office for postoperative checks by Dr. Stuzin.

Consultation

he decision to have cosmetic surgical procedure is a very personal and important choice. You will ultimately base your decision solely on your own set of established priorities and goals. As an individual, your needs are specific and particular to your situation. Understanding this, Dr. James M. Stuzin and his highly qualified staff customize our consultations to your desired need.

Within this process, our Patient Care Coordinator will provide you with additional information about the procedure(s) and, equally as important, allow you to become familiar with our team and us with you. Dr. Stuzin will also examine you, learn about your concerns and goals, discuss your particular case, listen, educate and support you in making your decision, with an informative process that includes a thorough discussion of available options, while answering any questions you may have.

In addition to discussing your cosmetic procedures in descriptive terms, Dr. Stuzin will provide examples of other patients’ results to help you visually see possible solutions.

Your consultation will include discussion of your treatment plan, which will entail costs and the financial policies, if it is determined by Dr. Stuzin that you are a good candidate for the procedure(s).
