Q:
Is it better or worse to get two procedures at once?
I am having a breast reduction in two months. I'm also interested in getting my nose repaired. Would it be better to get the breast reduction and rhinoplasty done at the same time or should I wait to have my nose done at a later date?
A:
If you are in good health and the surgeries can be completed in about 4 hours, there should be no problem with having both surgeries done at the same time. Breast reduction surgery is frequently combined with other body contouring procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, etc. This would allow you one recovery period and should decrease your costs if you are paying for part or all of either procedure. Ask your surgeon if he/she feels comfortable performing both at once.
