Practice Philosophy

New York native Dr. Larry H. Lickstein is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). As a member of ASAPS, he is among a select group of board certified plastic surgeons that have attained the highest level of achievement in cosmetic surgical training, continuing education and clinical experience. In addition, Dr. Lickstein is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Prior to moving to Baltimore in 2006, Dr. Lickstein was on staff in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the prestigious, nationally renowned Cleveland Clinic Florida in Naples, Florida. An honors graduate of PrincetonUniversity and New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Lickstein served as chief resident in the department of surgery at Harvard Medical School and then completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.

With a sincere commitment to helping each patient realize his or her desired appearance, Dr. Lickstein combines his extensive surgical talents with finely-honed communication skills to ensure that the final result matches the patient’s expectations. His strong academic background at some of the world’s foremost medical institutions gives Dr. Lickstein unparalleled knowledge and experience in the latest advances in aesthetic surgery of the face and body. His many years in practice have given Dr. Lickstein a passion for improving the lives of his patients. Surgical Facility

For your privacy, convenience and comfort, the Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland has an onsite surgical facility, the Bellona Surgery Center.  Because safety is our first concern, our facility meets the most stringent requirements. We are certified by Medicare and licenced by the state of Maryland as an ASC, since 2005.  Every surgical procedure is performed with Board Certified Anesthesiologists and Registered Nurses.

We are one of the few outpatient surgical facilities to earn accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).  This high-level accreditation is proof of our commitment to the highest quality patient care, and signifies that we have met the rigorous standards of a nationally recognized third party.
