I have had liposuction under my chin and now it sags. I absolutely hate it. I want to look like I have a jaw line. What can I do to correct and get rid of the sag and have a jaw line?
A:
It sounds like you would most likely benefit from a neck-lift or a facelift. Either a neck-lift or a facelift can be done with small incisions that can be hidden around the ear; the skin can be pulled back and the excess skin can be trimmed away behind the ear.

Q:
Does having a baby after laser lipo cause problems with loose skin that I wouldn't be able to tighten back up?
I an 40 years old and a size 0 to 2. I have fat around my waist that I can't get rid of with exercise. If I were to have laser lipo, then another child, what would this do to my skin afterwards? If I exercise enough to lose most of my "gut," I am so skinny everywhere else that I look sick. Even then, I still have a small gut. Would I end up with loose excess skin?
A:
You are not alone. I have had several patients who have said that their face looks too hollow if they lose enough weight to have a firm tummy. Other patients have said that their breasts become too small if they lose weight to get their tummy or thighs in shape.
So, liposuction in the tummy is probably a very good choice for you. Your skin will likely be in better shape if in between babies it has had a chance to "recover" and get back into as firm a location as possible. In other words, you are probably off to a better head-start with the next baby if your skin has retracted by doing lipo in the involved area.

Q:
What is the best way to remove neck wrinkles?
I am 55 years old. The wrinkles in my neck and under my chin are more obvious than any part of my face. What is the best way to get rid of them?
A:
There are some minimally invasive ways to improve neck lines, such as Botox, CO2 laser resurfacing, or chin liposuction. These are not likely to be effective in your age group.
In your age group it is likely that you would need a neck lift or a mini facelift. A mini facelift would be done with local anesthesia in two hours and have a 2-3 day recovery. A full neck lift would have a longer recovery, but it would have more impressive results.

Q:
What is the difference in doing a browlift in front of the hairline vs. in the scalp?
What if any is the advantage of doing a brow lift in front of my hairline (leaving a scar) vs. within my scalp (lifted hair line)?
A:
When doing a brow lift in front of the hairline, it gives a more predictable result as well as a more direct lift of the brow. The down sides include that it can have a potentially visible scar and may shorten the forehead.
The advantage of a scalp incision is that it is less visible, but is slightly less predictable than the direct hairline incision. Furthermore, it can elevate the hair line, which may be desirable for someone with a short forehead. However, for someone with a longer forehead, this may be undesirable.
I would encourage you to read a little bit more about an endoscopic brow lift (using cameras) which has tiny little incisions in the hairline.

I am a 35 year old female, non-smoker, and work out every day for one hour. I am 5'6" and weigh 262 pounds. I would like to get a full tummy tuck. Am I too over weight to have the procedure?.
A:
With your body shape your BMI (body mass index) is around 40, that would put you in the significantly over weight / obese category.
Depending on your body shape, apple vs. pear, you may still be able to get a tummy tuck after which you will still need to work hard to loose weight. If you were to have a tummy tuck now, you may be at a higher risk for wound healing complications.
You may also want to consider a gastric bypass (stomach stapling).
