Board Certification

Dr. Parker is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He holds a certificate of advanced education in cosmetic surgery.

Professional Background

Dr. Parker graduated Magna Cum Laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa from Union College in Schenectady, New York. He subsequently graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC where he was the recipient of the distinguished CV Mosby Award of Excellence.

He completed residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at New York University Medical Center and while there received the Theodore Barnett Award for Excellence in Teaching. During this training, Dr. Parker spent six months at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital exclusively learning cosmetic surgery techniques with some of the acknowledged masters in the field. He also completed a fellowship in Microsurgery at New York University Medical Center's Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery with heavy emphasis on innovative methods of breast reconstruction.

Publications and Presentations

Dr. Parker's work in patient and physician education is also notable, conducting seminars and lecturing on all aspects of plastic surgery. He is also co-founder of "Image Reborn", a breast reconstruction support group to which he donates much of his time and expertise.

Dr. Parker has appeared on local and national television, numerous radio talk shows and in newspapers and magazines discussing plastic surgery and its impact on patients.

Hobbies and Interests

Dr. Parker resides in Old Tappan, New Jersey with his wife and four children. He enjoys golf, exercise, photography, spending time with his family, and is active in his church community.
