Board Certification

Dr. Paul R. Weiss is Board Certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dr. Weiss is also a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS), a select group of plastic surgeons, whose members must be invited to join the Association. Additionally, Dr. Weiss is an active member of many local and regional plastic surgery and medical societies. He is a past president of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons. In private practice since 1976, Dr. Weiss also dedicates his efforts and time to plastic surgery education by teaching medical students and residents and by participating on numerous hospital and medical society committees and symposia.

Professional Background

Dr. Weiss received a B.S. from Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts, and his M.D. from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed post-graduate training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, The Weiler Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Weiss has lectured and published papers and book chapters on various plastic surgery topics. He has appeared on TV, radio and in numerous local and national publications as a plastic surgery spokesperson. He has been listed continually in the Castle, Connolly Guide How to Find The Best Doctors - New York Metro Area, as well as "The Best Doctors" and "The Best Beauty Docs" - New York Magazine.
