Professional Background

Dr. Howrigan has been in practice in the Boston area since 1985. She is an assistant professor of surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.

After receiving a degree in medicine from the University of Vermont, she trained in general surgery in Boston. Following this, she completed her plastic surgery training in the Harvard Plastic Surgery Program at Beth Israel and the Deaconess Hospital. She is in private practice in Wellesley.

Dr. Howrigan is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Howrigan has done volunteer medical work abroad and has written articles for medical journals and chapters in medical text books.
