Consultation

The consultation provides an opportunity for you to gather more information that will help you to decide if the procedure is right for you. It also allows you to become familiar with our office and our approach to aesthetic plastic surgery. We are committed to making the consultation a pleasant and informative experience and making you feel as comfortable as possible. You may find it helpful to have a general overview of what will happen during your visit to our office:

You will be requested to complete a brief medical history
A brief exam will be performed and measurements will be taken
Dr. Kofkoff will listen to your goals and desires and will review the procedure with you in detail
You will have an opportunity to see photos of previous patients
You and Dr. Kofkoff will formulate a plan based on the information that has been gathered during your consultation
Teresa Jones, our patient coordinator, will provide you with additional information and answer any questions that you may have
You will have an opportunity to see a video about the procedure if you wish to do so

We feel strongly that good communication is an indispensable ingredient to a successful outcome. It is important that you feel comfortable discussing your goals and what you would like to achieve. Only by communicating openly can we be certain that we have developed a plan that is likely to achieve the look that you desire.

So as to minimize your anxiety, we prefer to delay obtaining preoperative photographs until a second visit to our office. This complimentary visit is scheduled for two weeks prior to your procedure. At that time we will obtain photos, review the procedure, answer additional questions and provide you with a comprehensive packet of information including pre- and postoperative instructions. This information will be helpful during the procedure.
