Your plastic surgeon should be a rare combination of both artist and scientist. I would expect my surgeon to have the highest credentials and level of training possible, be thoroughly experienced in performing my surgical procedure and be concerned about my care and safety. In addition, he should have a keen aesthetic and artistic sense of harmony. He should be compulsive about every detail in his surgical practice including maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

I have built my practice on this philosophy and these qualifications, and I value the patient relationships that have developed as a result.

While my qualifications and experience as a surgeon are extensive and internationally respected, cosmetic plastic surgery requires far more than technical skills. The time I spend with you personally before any procedure will be as important as the procedure itself. Thoroughly covering your questions, your expectations, your individual desires and wishes...all of this and more will be addressed with sensitivity and understanding.

Choosing a surgical procedure and the right doctor to perform it are personal decisions not to be taken lightly. You as the patient and I as the doctor must weigh not only the physical considerations, but emotional and psychological ones as well. Improving your appearance through cosmetic surgery can enhance your emotional health and improve your self-esteem. This can be attained only if your expectations are realistic. By your understanding the limitations of plastic surgery, together we will establish reasonable goals that can be predictably achieved.

Our private Ambulatory Plastic Surgery Facility is one of only 500 in the world certified at the highest level by the AAAASF (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities). Our facility is certified for the highest level of accreditation. Dr. Singer is a prior President of AAAASF. Accreditation is a purely voluntary mark of quality, and indicates that our facility is fully equipped with the latest systems for ensuring your safety during surgery and after.

Special Features: Board certified M.D. anesthesiologist for all procedures involving anesthesia, endoscopic minimal incision surgery.

Our facility is located on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, California.

Consultation

Patients will be given as much information as possible. Reference materials and brochures are available on a broad range of topics. The initial consultation is an in-depth evaluation and explanation of the proposed surgical procedure, and is usually supplemented by written material. Dr. Singer allows time to answer your questions, and appropriate photographs may be shown to illustrate relevant points. Computer imaging is available.
