Practice Philosophy

The Aesthetic Associates Centre is not just an ordinary Medical/Dental facility. In it's 13,000 sq ft. facility, it boasts a Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dental Practice, complete with state-of-the-art Digital x-rays and imaging, 5 Dental operatories including one specially designed of oral surgery and dental implantology. All phases of dental Implantology are performed right in one location!.

Within the facility is a 1500 sq ft Dental Lab for custom in-house dental prosthesis including dentures, veneers, and crown and bridge work to offer the best in Cosmetic Dentistry.

The medical side of the contains multiple services ranging from skin care, to body contouring to facial rejuvenation. The Plastic Surgery wing offers the newest technology in CO2 Laser Skin Re-Surfacing, Cellulite Therapy and Microdermabrasion Peels, as well as the popular plastic surgery procedures of Facelift, Eyelift, Breast Surgery and Liposuction to name a few.

The Centre offers the unique concept of out-patient surgery in its newly upgraded ambulatory surgery centre. A state of the art Operating room and recovery suite are featured in this fully accredited Ambulatory surgery center. The board certified plastic surgeons at the Centre perform all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The doctors are also on staff at several area hospitals to serve all the needs of their patients.

Practice Specialization

Dr. Shatkin Jr.'s major concentration is in the areas of Aesthetic Surgery, including, Facial Rejuvenation, Nasal Surgery, Body contouring and Skin Resurfacing. He has been trained in the state of the art technologies, including endoscopic facial surgery, ultrasonic liposuction, and Microdermabrasion.

Surgical Facility

The Plastic Surgery practice at the Centre is one-of-a-kind in Western New York.

It boasts a large comfortable waiting room, a private room for viewing tapes on all procedures performed at the Centre, and a fully accredited ambulatory surgery centre offering the newest technologies in patient care and surgical procedures. The doctors are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and perform all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.

Procedures performed at the centre include; facelift, eyelid surgery, forehead/browlift, skin treatments and skin cancers, surgery of the nose, chin and cheek augmentation, ear surgery (otoplasty), and body contouring procedures including liposuction, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, abdominoplasty, and breast reconstruction following mastectomy.

The surgeons also perform a full range of Plastic and Reconstructive procedures in the hospital when out-patient office surgery is not indicated.
