Professional Background

Dr. Van Ye completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and economics. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School on an academic scholarship.

Dr. Van Ye completed his doctoral training at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas and his general surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Van Ye finished his plastic surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1997.

Hobbies and Interests

Plastic Surgery perfectly blends Dr. Van Ye's talents and interests. He has always enjoyed rolling up his sleeves and fixing things. He is dedicated to plastic surgery and often provides assistance to other countries through third-world medical missions. There are few joys that compare to being able to help repair a child’s cleft lip, or seeing a mother being able to kiss her children again after removing a tumor. He feels fortunate helping someone in need feel comfortable, whole and attractive again.

When Dr. Van Ye’s not at the office or overseas, he’s home with his family. He counts his lively household as one of life's greatest blessings. He enjoys snow skiing, biking, water skiing, barefoot skiing, and playing the guitar – which he has done for more than thirty years.
