Professional Background

Dr. Brown completed his medical training at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduation, he completed internships in surgery, internal medicine and plastic surgery. He relocated to the United States in 1988 and completed an internship in internal medicine at the Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by six years of general surgery training through Yale University. During his residency, he spent one year researching the viability of cryopreserved skin at the Yale University Skin Bank and Burn Unit, for which he won numerous awards. He returned to South Africa for one year to work in private practice, focusing on trauma and breast surgery before completing a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Brown has been in solo private practice since 1999. He is Medical Director of Rejuve MediSpa, a skin care and laser clinic adjacent to his surgery practice.
