In addition to his private practice, Dr. Lorenc is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at New York University's School of Medicine where he is closely involved in the research and development of new advances in aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Lorenc was awarded his medical degree in 1981. He completed his residency in general surgery at NYU School of Medicine in 1984 and his Fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in 1988.
In addition, Dr. Lorenc holds medical credentials in microvascular surgery from the University of Pittsburgh Affiliated Hospitals.

To place the benefits and risks of aesthetic surgery in perspective for potential patients, Dr. Lorenc recently authored “A Little Work...Behind The Doors of a Park Avenue Plastic Surgeon”, published by St. Martin's Press in October 2004 and available at booksellers across the United States.
Speaking Engagements:
In constant demand by leading medical societies and universities, Dr. Lorenc speaks annually at symposia held by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Inc. He also lectures at the annual meeting held by Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and the Cutting Edge Symposium sponsored by New York University Medical Centre.
In November 2003, Dr. Lorenc presented clinical data concerning the efficacy of Restylane (hyaluronic acid) before the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), leading to FDA approval for use of the injectable wrinkle filler in the United States.
In addition to professional speaking activities, Dr. Lorenc is frequently invited by national and local broadcast media to offer scientific opinions and comments on the cosmetic surgical specialty. He has recently appeared on “CNN Presents”, “NBC Dateline”, “The Today Show”, “Good Morning America” and “The CBS Morning Show.”

A collector of fine art, Dr. Lorenc specializes in surreal paintings and sculpture, particularly those of the Dada movement.
