Author weighs in on benefits of plastic surgery

Jane Baskin, an anti-aging expert, recently penned a book contemplating the aging process. The publication, titled Jane of the Jungle, is centered around what Baskin calls "Life 2.0," the time when kids have grown and retirement still lies far in the distance, according to The Kiowa County Signal.
Thanks to medical advances and health awareness, people are living much longer lives than older generations. While this is certainly beneficial for most, some may feel discouraged by the natural signs of aging, such as facial wrinkles and sagging skin. Basking knows that diet and exercise can only go so far.
"Eating healthy and exercising can keep us going on the inside, so what's wrong with making use of the medical technology available to make the outside match the inside?" she said to the news provider. "There is a vast gulf between feeling good and feeling good about ourselves, and that's where cosmetic surgery can help us fill in the gaps."
There are many plastic surgery procedures that can help boost confidence and reduce the signs of aging. Facelifts, Botox injections and breast lifts are only a few, and individuals who want to learn more about their options should visit a board-certified plastic surgeon, according to The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), is recognized as the world’s leading organization devoted entirely to aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine of the face and body. ASAPS is comprised of over 2,600 Plastic Surgeons; active members are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (USA) or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have extensive training in the complete spectrum of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. International active members are certified by equivalent boards of their respective countries. All members worldwide adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and must meet stringent membership requirements.
