iPhone app lets you preview plastic surgery results
August 20, 2011
Those considering cosmetic surgery may have a new tool to help them make a decision on whether or not to go through with a procedure. A new iPhone application allows individuals to apply virtual cosmetic surgeries to a photo of themselves and perhaps get an idea of the results they may achieve through various procedures, including liposuction, nose jobs, lip enhancement or eyelid surgery.
This is further development from the apps that just show breast lifts and breast augmentations.
To make good use of the manipulated images, you can save them or share your newly envisioned self with your friends via facebook or email.
In addition to the personalized pictures users can create, the application also features various before and after photos as well as slideshows that outline various cosmetic surgeries.
The application can be downloaded for free in the iTunes app store.
While it may be fun to play with, some caution against thinking that actual results will be similar to the virtual results. Experts recommend seeking out a trained, licensed and board-certified cosmetic surgeon to determine which surgeries are right for you as well as to get a realistic idea of results.
