New reality show has brides compete for plastic surgery

A new reality show, Bridalplasty, will soon air on E!, filming brides as they compete against each other in a series of challenges for a chance to undergo plastic surgery procedures before their wedding. These challenges include tasks such as writing wedding vows and planning honeymoons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Book sold at auction that contains origin of rhinoplasty

A book that dates back to the 16th century was recently sold at auction, and it contains what is believed to be one of the first depictions of rhinoplasty (surgery to reshape the nose). The book, which was published in 1597, sold for £11,000 (around $16,000) to a plastic surgeon, The UK Based Daily Telegraph reports.

Doctor facing legal action, suspension after mistreatment of patients

A physician in Encino, California, is facing serious allegations stemming from the mistreatment of two patients, one of whom died.
