Tax refunds a boon for plastic surgery industry

The arrival of April means that the tax deadline is nearly here, but some Americans have gotten an early start and already received their refunds. Many individuals use this extra bonus to treat themselves - for some, that means a plastic surgery procedure, according to ABC 15.

Kristy Harris is one such taxpayer. This year, she's using her tax refund to help cover the cost of a breast lift, a procedure she has wanted since she gave birth to her last child.

"That's sort of the way I thought of it in my mind - my little savings account that I was setting up for this procedure," she told the news source. "I knew I was getting a big return and that would be able to contribute to the cost of the surgery."

Harris added that since the procedure, she has had more confidence, and is pleased with her new look. According to the news provider, she feels it was "money well spent."

Those who are looking to save money on a cosmetic procedure may want to
consider injectable fillers to treat facial wrinkles and skin resurfacing techniques. Noninvasive procedures are typically more affordable than other types of surgery and have faster recovery times, according to The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
