Time-saving skincare tips
April 29, 2013
If you want to avoid signs of aging like liver spots and wrinkles, you have to take care of your skin. Unfortunately, a healthy skincare regimen can be time consuming, which may be a problem for people with busy schedules. Fortunately, there are some ways you can speed up the skin care process without skimping on the quality of your regimen. Here are a few tips:
Find a lotion with SPF
Suntan lotion with an SPF of 30 or higher is essential if you want to ward off wrinkles and other ailments caused by exposure to UV radiation, but who has time to lather up every time they head outside? If you use moisturizer (and if you want healthy, young-looking skin, you should), you can save time by purchasing a product that has SPF protection built in. This means that as you moisturize following your morning shower, you'll also be adding a layer of protection from the sun's harmful rays. Remember that it's important to rub this cream over any exposed parts of your body, including your hands, ears and neck. Signs of aging can show up in places other than your face!
Shave in the shower
Shaving can be a pain in the butt, especially for guys who get a five o'clock shadow or women who want smooth legs every day. Shaving in the shower is a great way to conserve time, and the moisture of the water can actually help with the process. Look for razors that are water-resistant so they can be kept in the shower without rusting. Guys, remember to keep a small mirror in the shower so you don't cut yourself.
A quick, non-surgical fix
Want plastic surgery but don't have time for an invasive procedure like a facelift? There are a number of aesthetic, non-invasive procedures that can help with skincare. From microdermabrasion to Botox injections to chemical peels, a local plastic surgeon could help you keep on top of your skincare without taking up too much of your time.
Night and day cream
If you're feeling overwhelmed by the number of products in your bathroom cabinet, consider opting for a lotion that is recommended for both night and day usage. This will mean you won't have to keep track of which product to use, as both your daytime and nighttime creams will be rolled into one.
