Evolving concepts in aesthetic surgery have led us to the current crossroads where we are forced to recognize the limitations of surgical contouring alone, as well as the limitations of isolated volume enhancement. This course will focus on the paradigm shift of combining surgical contouring with volume addition, allowing plastic surgeons to obtain results that are not possible with either individual modality. By examining the aesthetic aspects of surgical repositioning with ancillary volumetric enhancement to improve shape and contour in facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation and reduction, and body contouring surgery.
